I Booked the pub for a wake with a deposit a week before. I spoke to a supervisor who didn’t speak to management so when the party arrived the staff on duty had no clue what was going on. There was no food ready the poor staff on duty had run around they handle the situation the best they could. But unfortunately it wasn’t great as the slideshow didn’t work and got told over the phone all I had to do Was bring a cable. The kitchen manager was fantastic she tried everything she could to make the slideshow work. And the gentleman from the bar. But I’m not happy with poor communication from the supervisor , as we had to wait a long time for food. But they still managed to provide the best they could in the short time they knew. I don’t think it was value for money. But the sausage rolls were nice. I hope for the future the supervisor can communicate better so this doesn’t happen again.

Went with a Groupon voucher. They couldn't get it to work on their system, but eventually, they did it manually. The food was OK. Rump steak a bit bland, onions rings looked and tasted old/not crispy, one half a tomato and mushrooms with no taste. The side salad and chips were better.

Seemed like a very nice pub. Let down by someone who appeared to be a manager with redish hair who wasn't very attentive to customers waiting at the bar. Her partner going behind the bar to talk and land a kiss didn't come across as very professional, even if it was an off duty member of staff. My friend commented asking me if I had my invisibility jacket on which did lighten the mood of the situation. On a positive we were looked after by another couple of staff members, fellow with long hair and a petite blondish lady, thank you for your service. Really on the ball, polite and efficient :)

This is a very down to earth eastend pub, like the ones that I grew up drinking in, the food is heart and professional cooked. The two Kate's are great and add to the atmosphere.... you'll love it.

Took my family to have a meal, was greeted by the staff on entry and were very helpful with menu choices. Food was quickly served, and tasted great! My daughters were entertained with the colouring sheets and the staff went above and beyond! Would definitely eat there again and would definitely recommend others to go too!

Really was lovely food. I love the sizzling plates. Had mixed grill and it really was nice. Can still taste it now. Staff lovely and helpful. Nice Dagenham pub. If rather go here than the wetherspoons ! Food much nicer here and good value for money. Compliments to the chef

Delicious food, big portions and great value! Had the bigger version of the fish & chips, and it could easily be shared between two people. The vegan burger was top notch, full of flavour and not dry at all! Staff was very friendly and the service was fast. The only downside was that the kids pasta was a bit dry, without much sauce on it. Can't really complain to be honest, got the offer that it costs £1 when you get another adult meal. Very good deal. Another let down was the back beer garden, it is not looked after at all, but it got so much potential to be really nice. I hope that the current manager sort it out, as it would be really nice to sit on the outside with kids, away from the main road. --- 18/07/24 Great revamp, the pub looks really nice now. Food is still good, however, it took half an hour to arrive, even though people in the pub were just drinking at the time.
